Chet Cuneta wishes to continue his father's legacy in Pasay City as he runs for Mayor
Cesar “Chet” Cuneta wants the legacy to continue as he runs for Mayor in Pasay City. His father, Pablo Cuneta, who was mayor of Pasay for a total of 42 years—was the longest-serving local executive in the country’s history.
His sister Megastar Sharon Cuneta is in full support of her brother and Chet Cuneta couldn't be more thankful for her undying support. Chet Cuneta is also endorsed by no less than the President himself President Rodrigo Duterte and also Sara Duterte.
Chet Cuneta, presently an Airbus 320 captain/instructor/line checker for Air Asia Philippines, has a total of 32 years of flying experience up his sleeve.
According to him, he is ready to serve Pasay City saying that he wants a BIG change and he is willing to do everything he can to change the current state of Pasay, he wants to address the concerns regarding drugs, healthcare specifically he wants to rehabilitate Pasay General Hospital 'My parents built that using the money of the people of Pasay and my father also built the City Hall." He added that he also wants to build a new city hall because the old building is just deteriorating.
Chet's wife, Michelle also supports him all the way. According to Michelle, even though he is away most of the time due to his work as a Pilot, he has always been a loyal and faithful husband and she knows for a fact that he will be a good public servant, he never fails to take care of his family.
There's never an issue between their age gap because Chet always makes it a point to bond with her and connect with whatever her hobbies are like watching Korean Dramas which is one of their bonding moments. Chet is a loving husband and father according to Michelle and this is exactly what he will do if he wins Mayor of Pasay, he will be a loving father to the city.
What legacy would Chet want to have in Pasay City? Would he want to surpass the excellent service his father did? Chet said, "Kung ako ang tatanungin, gusto ko nga mahigitan pa eh. Kasi he had 42 years to serve, ako, if I get lucky, I get 9 years, so, kung kaya kong higitan, hihigitan ko."
On serving the people he said, "I will lead Pasay and our people to a better situation. I may not be a politician but I can identify problems and solve them. I am not corrupt and I am trustworthy.”
